Winter hiking can be the most beautiful place to be. The snow glistens and sparkles, there’s frozen waterfalls and icicles and my most favorite are Seussical looking trees from the heavy snow. Yes, winter hiking/snowshoeing is magical, but the mountains are unforgiving, and you should be prepared. The ten essentials should always be in your pack.
Hiking & snowshoeing should be fun but always respect nature.

I really enjoy reading these stories and how you convey them as overcoming such obstacles that obviously scared the living shit out of you. As a long time Whistler/Squamish resident I rarely find inspiration in the endless rants of how rad we all want to be!

I don’t know if you are still blogging but so happy to find this! New to BC and in love with it but a bit fearful on some trails still and working on conquering that :) esp want to get into winter adventures! Any welcoming groups you know of that aren’t too hardcore ?
