This is a great starter walk or run you can do in 40 minutes. The Perimeter Trail is a wide concrete trail. It is a 5 km loop on 96th past 168th. You can also park on 168th (go past 96th straight up the road and the parking lot will be on your left) and access Perimeter Trail across the road from the dog park (this area is an off leash dog park). I enjoy this loop as there are little hills and you can choose your pace to make it harder or easier.
If you park in the lot where the dog park is you can go in the trails. There are bridges and creeks and it feels as if you are hiking but don't have to drive for hours to get your exercise or in my case, a hiking fix. There are also lots of rolling hills and it is quite beautiful in there. The trails are well marked and there is a brochure you can take with you to find your way around. However, it can be a little tricky without a map.
