inside. Dogs are welcomed but must stay below and are free of charge.
Once you arrive in Snug Cove, be prepared to fall in love. Just past the
library, steps really, and to the left is the beginning of the Killarney Lake hike. Look for Crippen Park. The
trails are 3-7 feet wide with some tree roots as you circle around the
lake. The lake trail is well marked and easy to fine your
way. It is a mini hike with some rolling hills.
you stroll around you will come a picnic spot where there are outhouses. The
lake is real pretty. After you have your lunch, head off for about
30 minutes longer and you will find yourself back at the ferry terminal.
are some very quaint shops especially 'Union Steamship Marina Office Gift
Shop.' It is filled with Sea Stars (formally known as Star Fish), tree
things, coasters, jewelry, dishes, vases, clothing +++. You name it and they
probably have it. After a little browsing, return to the ferry for your free
ride back to Horseshoe
Bay. Happy & safe
