Length: 10 Km’s
Elevation: 180 meters
Pit Toilet: Yes-beginning/lodge
This is a beautiful 6-10 km hike. You can make it what you want. There are lots of steep sections, tree roots, flat~wide trails, 2-4 ft trails, rolling sections, rocks, marsh & lookouts. There is a bit of everything on this trail. There can be lots of bears and cougars on this hike so be aware of your surroundings.
On this day we parked at the Quarry Rd parking lot. We took the Quarry Trail to High Knoll and had lunch high above on a rock. The view was amazing! There were also tree frogs that were quite friendly. If you're not a frog lover don't fret, they were well hidden. We then back tracked and went down to the Mid-Marsh Trail and over a bridge to the Lodge. Don't forget to look up at the rock and see where you were earlier in the day. After a rest and a bathroom break we re-tracked our steps back over the bridge to the Mid-Marsh Trail and left to the parking lot. The signs are great and it is pretty easy to find your way. Happy & safe trails!
