Sandy Cove Trail: Harrison
Elevation: 170 meters
Length: 5.5 km's
Dogs: Yes
Pit Toilet: no
Hiking Checklist:
Backpack, poles,10-essentials, tell someone
Trail: Walk past the hotel along beach walk through a yellow gate and all the way past The Source (hot springs ) and to the end of the walkway. On your left is the trail. There are no trail markers. Stay left as you go up. If you go to the right it's a little more of a scramble up the rocks. Keep going up and soon you'll be at a little lookout. Once there you'll come to a big boulder, follow that trail down as you pass the rock. It will level out here. There's one tricky rock to climb up but it's not tough. You'll see a hill that goes down on your right. You can go down here or stay left and follow the trail down. Once at the bottom of either way turn right and follow that trail to a beautiful cove with spongy sand. When you are finished snapping photos and eating lunch follow the trail back up carefully navigating your way down the rocks. Honestly it's a little gem and a quick little hike with some spectacular views. Extra info: On the way back at the big pond there is a trail to the left that takes you back to the hotel parking. It's a nice way to end the day...Happy & safe hiking!
Directions: Follow the signs to Harrison Hot Springs and find parking as close to the Hot Springs Resort Hotel. See above for trail information.
