Length: 19 Km's (to the cabin) Lake 18.8 K return
Elevation: 470 meters
Dogs: Yes
Pit Toilet: yes-TH start & camp
Directions: Manning Park turn right and follow road and where it splits go right to Strawberry Flats. Once there park and TH is across the road.
I've snow shoe this trail and it is completely different in the snow. That is why I like to do each trail in every season. You will add on a a few extra K in the summer route but it's an easier grade of elevation.
Start of the trail on a flat path as you walk along parallel to the road. Soon the path becomes a road and it starts to climb gradually. Views of Goat and Red Mtn come into view.
Soon the the ski hill is far below. After a long gradual crawl up the road a trail appears to the left with a small cairn with some logging tape. Take this trail as it snakes it's way up and the views pop of Hozomeem with a beautiful waterfall far below. Soon after the trail begins to switchback up the trail. Eventually the trail comes out to a Y with a SP-go left. Now you're on a logging road. Keep going as you descend to Poland lake. After some time you hear water. Go up the last little trail and Poland Lake greets you. If you keep walking tot he other side of the lake there's a cabin and a pit toilet. At the cabin you can walk down to the lake and soak your feet or sit on the benches and eat lunch. Happy & safe trails.
