Menzies Trail is a 9 km one way with little elevation gain. You can have two cars and do it from one parking lot to another trail or return the way you came.
Start your hike at West Canyon parking lot. Walk along the West Canyon Trail until you see Menzies Trail on both your right and left. We went left which takes you on a nice quiet walk along a mostly flat trail. It starts at 8 Km's and the Km's descend as you make you way towards Mike's parking lot. There are many creek crossings and a couple of big waterfall crossings. It can be a very wet trail depending on the rainfall in the recent days. Bring poles with you so you can cross safely over the slippery, wet rocks. You'll also cross a road and come to a lookout with benches. It’s a perfect spot for lunch.
When you get to Mike Lake parking lot you can turn around and make your way back to your car. Some hikers have two cars. It was a nice walk through the forest. It's the perfect starter hike. Happy & safe trails!
