Artist Point is a stunning SS. Mount Shuksan is the shining star. With Mount Baker draped in white and your drive up is beautiful with the main attraction is the lake’s reflection; it simply takes your breath away. Although Artist Point has some steep sections it’s doable for most beginner snowshoers. Be aware it is avalanche terrain.

As you follow the trail in the beginning its wide open abut as you start to climb you pass a few cabins. It’s here that you hug the ski run and the trail becomes single file. Keep going up until you reach the top. You can go to the peak not far away. Once you have filled your belly and your camera head back the way you came. Happy & safe ss’ing.
