Directions: Get yourslef on the north side toward Coquitlam. This turns into Lougheed. Turn left at Barnett (Coquitlam Center). Right on Landsdowne and follow the road up. You will see a parking lot on your left; drive down the gravel road and make your way up to the TH start.
Trail:
You can start the trail on the left side (the stairs are wider) or on the right side (the stairs are smaller and black). Follow the stairs up. There are positive little saying along the way. If you go on the left side there are 437 stairs and the right side there are 487 stairs. Once at the top of the stirs the path turns into concrete. Keep following it up as you cross a few roads and walk under the power lines. It's quite open but in the spring & summer months there would be bushes up the middle. In the early hours you may be lucky to see deer's grazing on the grass in the fields but keep your eyes open for cougars or coyotes. Keep walking up and soon your path turns to gravel and a few minutes later you are at the top. Well done! Make you way down and once at the top of the stairs decide if you want to descend the black smaller stairs or the grey wider stairs. It's a great little workout to get you ready for the trails or if you don't have a lot of time. Happy & safe hiking.
